Which version of Orange does Red-R use. Orange supports curved connections but Red-R just has straight lines.

Orange too has improved quite a lot as well.
btw what was the motivation behind spinning off Orange and creating Red-R as oppose to creating an R extension to Orange?
I'm going to assume the version of orange you used didn't allow extensions.
Motivation
That version did allow extensions but the internals of Orange are better suited to Orange rather than an R centered framework. Orange signals were of a special class of data container called an example table while we required something that would pass references to R variables around. We also needed to control single instances of R, IO to R, R data classes, and other R things.
We had planned at first to stay with Orange and we would merge into each-other from time to time, that never happened and there have been so many core changes that I'm not sure how easy it would be any more to merge the two.

Aug. of last year
We branched from orange August of last year (dont remember the build number). Since then we have diverged significantly, so we cant sync back with orange.
Though Kyle has recently added the curved connections to a development branch.
We have hoping to put out a new installer with this and many new features in December.
