There is a big gap between R-packages available for microarray analysis and the number of people who are able to use it. Red-R could be a nice bridging solution for some of these people.
The current Red-R widget is for affymetrix slides. I would like to see it somewhat more generic to allow processing of other arrays.
I'm working with Agilent microarrays: single and dual-color. It would be very nice to be able to process these data with Red-R
Thanks for the post.
I work with Affy for the most part myself. What packages are available for other array formats in R?
From a design perspective, would you expect to have a signle "read" function that would read in data from either affy, agilent, ... or to have multiple "read" functions that would only process one?
I'll see what I can do to bring other platforms into the package.
Thanks
Kyle
