I just wanted to start this topic as a place for people to post how they are using Red-R and what kinds of analysis they are performing in Red-R. People can come here to look for ideas of what can be done and what packages they find useful. Also the developers (like me) can get an idea of what features people want and what packages would benefit from more development.
Thanks for posting.
Is *anyone* using Red-R?
This topic has been here for over a year and there have been no responses (apart from one suggestion.)
Surely there are people out there using Red-R? Surely the developers are developing it for a reason (other than that it is cool :-)
If so, sharing a few examples would do a world of good in allowing new users to understand what the system can do and how to do it. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a working demonstration is worth many pages of documentation (and given the meager documentation its worth is greater still)
Functionality for gene expression normalization?
I'm relatively new to using R and the related for my work. I've come across a few packages from bioconductor.org (HTqPCR, ddct, qpcR etc) for gene expression analyses. At present I'm starting out using Red-R for plotting functions only, it would be great if I could use for qpcr gene normalization per se.
Good package suggestions
Thanks for suggesting these packages. I'll look into implementing them into the Red-R environment.
